This is the analysis of two recent most remarkable documentary films produced in the 21st century, as models of criticism of the military and economic power of developed countries. These films analyzed the effects of war and crisis in individuals (Restrepo) and specific societies (Inside job). Thus, the documentary cinema becomes a research field and critical tool on the negative effects of indiscriminate use of two of the essential powers —as military and economics— in maintaining states.
