A spatiotemporal analysis of the intra-regional migration dynamics: the case of Andalusia during the recent economic crisis

Abstract

How do migration flows respond to local economic conditions, especially unemployment rates? The issue is even more relevant in view of the high levels of unemployment recorded during the current economic crisis. Our goal is to explore this issue by looking at Andalusia, one of the Spanish regions with the highest unemployment rate during the economic crisis.
